When I coach you - whether you’re a senior executive or a new manager - we’ll talk first about what impact you want to have. We’ll take a look at your Myers-Briggs Type, or use other lenses to reflect on how you lead and whether you feel successful.
Then, I’ll interview people you work with and we’ll consider the feedback: Are you having the impact you want? What is your style and how is it effective?
After that we’ll set some specific goals: what do you want to improve? What are your strengths and how can you build on them? I will bring in some relevant theories or models; you can identify leaders you admire and analyze elements of their leadership style that might work for you. You can practice adding new behaviors along the way, and then we can debrief that together.
